Build a life from nothing

Start off with nothing but small change and a rucksack, is not everyone’s idea of getting out in the real world and try to find your way, which is not always easy.

But for one man who decided to leave all of his family’s comfortable lifestyle and made a conscious decision to not use any family contacts or anything, he just wanted to see if he makes his way in the world with no help. His plan was to get his own furnished place, a car and $2,500 worth of savings in a year.

But after ten months a family illness forced him to stop the experiment, although he had an apartment, a truck and almost $5,000 in savings. He puts this down to living a frugal lifestyle and making do, instead of having to have everything he wants right now despite the cost and how much debt he would accumulate. There is a lesson in there somewhere.
