The most expensive day

Could the 6th May actually be the most expensive day on the yearly calendar for UK residents? Well if we listen to the Carphone Warehouse then we would just have to agree. They have been doing a bit of research and have found the real reasons behind why this date is so significant for the finances.

Having looked into all the dates and what is happening around the country at different times, it was found that the 6th May is the most expensive day for the average UK household. This is because there has been the Bank holiday and this time of the year is when all the quarterly bills arrive.

Not only that this time of the year is when the new council tax bills arrive on your door step, as well the TV licence renewal. In all this is a very expensive time of the year and should it all fall on one day then it would certainly be the most expensive day.
