Another enquiry into labour finance

The Labour party are facing yet another financial enquiry regarding political funding. This time the problem is centred on the Muslim millionaire businessman Imran Khand.

It is believed that he donated more than £300,000 to the Labour party during March and June. Although the problem is that the money did not go directly to the party, but via a third party the Muslim Friends of Labour, which implies that he wanted his name kept secret.

There is a growing concern regarding the amount of Muslim backed money that the Labour party are receiving and this is the first problem of this kind to face prime Minister Gordon Brown, how he handles this matter could have some lasting effects on his future and that of the party itself.
