Terrorism financed through credit cards

There are concerns that terrorist groups are turning to the plastic to finance their campaigns, this would probably not come as too much of a surprise as the credit card can be used in a variety of ways. The problem that faces the authorities is how on earth can this combated.

It would seem that there is a difference of opinion between the governments and banking system, it has been alleged that the banking system are the front line in this situation and have the power to cut off the financing at the source.

However, how are they to decide who is a terrorist or not? This should be a concern to all users of credit cards as it would seem that any unusual activity could be seen as being odd and start a chain of events.

There are two ways of stopping the terrorists, communication and finance, they cannot function without these services, but how to stop it is another matter.
