Writers strike could cost TV revenues

The viewing figures that many TV channels have come to take for granted and therefore use to attract advertisers who are the life blood of the channel, may be at risk and for no other reason than the writer’s strike that has crippled the production of many of the world’s favourite programmes.

The strike has been running for a few weeks now and has affected shows like Greys Anatomy, Lost, and 24! In fact with these and other programmes are so far behind now, that there is talk that they may even be cancelled, this will definitely effect incomes from advertising.

It seems that there are many viewers just waiting for the excuse to cut the mainstream TV completely out of their lives altogether and this could just be the thing that launches them into the world of IPTV.
